Happy Birthday Taylor!!

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to Taylor,
Happy Birthday to you!!

13 years ago, God gave me one of the most awesome gift ever. He gave me Taylor Nicole King to take care of while we are here on this earth. He picked her just for me and Jody, and us just for her - I think we got the better end of the deal! ;) She is wonderful and I thank Jesus for her every day. Happy birthday my sweet baby girl! Teenage years, here we come!

Here are 13 things (in no particular order) that I love about Taylor...

1. She has a sweet and caring heart. She has a servant's heart.
2. She is so funny. She keeps us laughing all the time.
3. She has a sweet laugh.
4. She loves to sing and dance. She is very talented.
5. She loves her family.
6. She is becoming who God has created her to be.
7. She loves her church and her leaders in church.
8. She loves to shop.
9. She is a great big sister and friend.
10. She is smart and she loves to learn new things.
11. She loves to be with children and take care of them.
12. She will watch TLC and HGTV shows with me.
13. She is always happy and making me smile.

This is the Bible Verse I claim for her ...

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Happy Birthday Taylor!!
You are so loved!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

There is a song "Be Thou My Vision". It is a beautiful ancient Celtic Hymn. The song is beautiful both in music and in word. This is the history of this song.

The tune name is called 'Slane,' after the Hill of Slane in County Meath, Ireland. When Patrick first came to Ireland to spread Christianity, he was forbidden by pagan royal decree from lighting any fires at the Spring Equinox. Patrick defied the Royal Edict, and lit the first Paschal Fire in Ireland from atop the Hill of Slane. It's so tall (about 500 feet, or 160 metres) that the fire couldn't be missed. The pagan king at Tara was so impressed with Patrick's devotion that he gave him leave to begin proselyting. The rest, as they say, is history.(not my wording I swiped from a forum because I liked the way it was written)

High King of heaven, my victory won,
May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heav'ns Son!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O ruler of all.
